Wrigley’s 100th birthday party drew a massive crowd this past Wednesday. However, someone that failed to receive an invite to “The Party of the Century” seemed to steal headlines. After leaving the Cubs in 2004 on non-ideal terms, the tension with Sammy Sosa continues.
First, lets bring back some good Cubbie memories. A highlight video of Sosa certainly does the trick. Too bad the Linkin Park soundtrack does not. Suggestion: Mute. And maybe play my summer theme song instead.
To continue, be sure to check out a list of Sosa’s career stats. Steriods or not, he made the Cubs a team to watch.
“I should have been there,” Sosa told the Chicago Tribune.
But the Cubs say “Sosa must make amends” before being invited back to Wrigley. What do you think?
Brisbee from SB Nation voices his opinion. “If the Cubs don’t make up with Sosa, they’ll continue to look really, really silly.”
Former teammate, Borowski, doesn’t seem to agree with some of the requirements laid out by the Cubs.
Sosa has a few requirements for the Cubs organization, also. Retire 21?
Fans voiced their opinions on Twitter after Rodger’s broke the ‘no Sosa’ news. Also, Sean Deveney says Wrigley is better than Fenway! In the words of Charlie Sheen, “Winning!”
And just for laughs… Feel free to watch First Take’s Stephen Smith ranting as per usual, primarily about Bonds this round, but the comparison of Sosa to the King of Pop is good for a Friday chuckle.
